Melinda Welton recently returned from Patagonia where she participated in an exciting Earthwatch project studying the reproductive health of one of the largest rookeries in Argentine. She will show us photos and videos of penguins and other birds that are part of this large research effort concerning ways to mitigate climate change.
Melinda Welton is Conservation Biologist and owner BirdWorks Consulting. The primary focus of conservation efforts is on full annual life-cycle conservation for the Cerulean Warbler working in Central America as well as Tennessee. She has worked on other birds of conservation concern in Tennessee, and is currently investigating methods of preventing window bird strikes.
