The Clean Power Coalition - Southeast Wisconsin is urging We Energies to improve both its air quality monitoring and data reporting to better protect the health of families living near the utility’s coal-burning Oak Creek and Elm Road power plants. On behalf of the Clean Power Coalition, Steve Slavens, Chair of the organization’s Data Committee, has sent a letter today to Kevin Fletcher, President of We Energies.

Today, environmental groups, Tribes, Youth Climate Intervenors, and other stakeholders submitted their briefs on Enbridge’s proposed Line 3 tar sands pipeline. In their briefs, the groups laid out the reasons Enbridge should not be granted the permits to build this tar sands pipeline through Minnesota, and the threats it would pose to the state’s land, water, and communities, as well as our climate.

Today marks the start of the DC Auto Show. Despite recent claims of investment in electric vehicles by Ford, the auto company isn’t showcasing any of their electric vehicles. As a part of the Auto Alliance, Ford is lobbying the Trump administration to roll back vehicle fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions standards.
