We stand in solidarity with the Atlanta forest defenders and the movement to protect the Weelaunee Forest and stop Cop City. We recognize that the fight to protect our forests here in Oregon is intrinsically tied to the fight happening in Atlanta, and the destruction of any forest affects us all.

We also recognize the intrinsic ties between the violence being inflicted on our forests and the violence being inflicted on our people. We stand against the police violence that killed Atlanta forest defender Tortuguita and the further violence of turning 300 acres of forest into a police training center that would occur if Cop City is allowed to happen.
