All Day!
Grayson Highlands State Park has everything! This 8.5 mile hike will give us an experience of forests, creeks, waterfalls, beautiful mountain vistas, balds, and most likely, ponies. Our hike will take 5-7 hours, depending on how much time we spend enjoying the scenery. It is rated moderately strenuous for length and also there are plenty of rocky, rooty, and uneven trail surfaces. Because of this, the hike is open to more experienced hikers only. Please register only if you are confident you can hike 8.5 miles. Please wear shoes or hiking boots with good treads, and hiking poles are highly recommended. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. No dogs please. Limit 10 participants.
Participants on Sierra Club outings have to sign a standard liability waiver that I will bring to the trail head.
