Ask Weis Markets to Help Fight Superbugs!
Antibiotic resistance is a growing and scary issue. The drugs we rely on to fight even common infections are becoming less effective. A key reason is the overuse of antibiotics -- but not just in people. Did you know a whopping 70% of human antibiotics are actually sold for livestock?
One major supplier, Sanderson Farms, has continued its reckless use of antibiotics and even mocks antibiotic-free chicken as a marketing gimmick. Locally, Weis Markets buys Sanderson chicken for use as their store brand.
Please sign our petition to ask Weis Markets to switch to a more responsible supplier, and let Sanderson know why.
