Help Stop Dominions Toxic Emissions Cove Point PSC Hearing Oct 2nd Join us at the PSC hearing
Dominion is seeking approval for the use of 2 additional generators which would supply power to the existing fracked gas export terminal and liquefaction facility in Cove Point. This would allow for completely unchecked emissions of volatile organic compounds into the air around the facility, impacting all living things in that area. Come to the 10/2/17 Public Service Commission Hearing and voice your opposition! RSVP Here   &    Submit written comments here

Coal Plants in Maryland Dumping Toxics into our Rivers and Bay

CHP_MD_2200_Seth Patrick Alli Aaron protest toxic coal ash in our water 8.2017

Right now, there are three coal plants in Maryland operating with expired and outdated water pollution permits.

These coal plants -- Chalk Point, Dickerson, and Morgantown -- are dumping toxic pollutants such as arsenic and selenium into the Chesapeake Bay, as well as the Patuxent and Potomac Rivers.

Take Action

These toxic chemicals can degrade our drinking water and make it unsafe to eat fish and crabs.

Zero Waste Training in Frederick September 30th

Join us for a Zero Waste workshop
Now that Frederick County's What's Next process is wrapping up, it's likely that the County will work to implement a program to divert organics from our landfill. The program is projected to divert about 40,000 tons per year away from the landfill. This is great!! However, there will still be 97,000 tons of material per year still headed to landfill. What additional things can we do, besides diverting organics, to keep more material out of the landfill? Join us for this no-cost workshop!
