Clean Equitable Transportation & Smart Growth Launch
Sierra Club Maryland is about to launch a bold, multi-year initiative to promote clean, equitable transportation and smart growth in our state. Why? Transportation is now the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions in the country and a major source of smog-forming pollution, which is hazardous to human health.
We will support dedicated, long-term funding for Metro; work with the communities, organizations, and the state to promote regional clean transportation policies to reduce pollution and create modern and equitable systems; promote more transit, electric vehicle usage, bicycling and smart growth; and fight proposed highway expansions. Do any of these activities sound interesting to you? Please attend the kickoff Thursday Feb 8th RSVP and Info here
