A bipartisan bill was just introduced in the Senate to allocate money to fight Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. It's called Ticks: Identify, Control, and Knockout (TICK) Act.
The bill would fund efforts in the area including research, prevention, diagnostics and treatment. It would help develop a national plan to deal with tick-borne diseases and also coordinate with state level agencies.
