A Critical Juncture for Offshore Wind

Offshore Windmill

Maryland is poised to be a leader in developing offshore wind.

Four years ago, the state passed the Offshore Wind Act, which put into place the building blocks for offshore wind development off of Maryland’s coast. Four years later, we are so close to offshore wind becoming a reality, but this moment is the most critical juncture in the process. Now, we need the Public Service Commission (PSC) to approve a project.

Sierra Club hosted a great webinar recently with the Maryland Climate Coalition about the opportunity for Maryland to build the largest offshore wind farm on the East Coast and how you can help make sure that happens.

You can view a recording of the webinar on YouTube at https://youtu.be/VU1R_G89RM0

The Public Services Commission needs to hear from people like you about why Maryland needs offshore wind.
