Clean Energy Lobby Nights in Annapolis

Clean energy advocates gather for rally at the MD State House on opening day of legislative session.

We're more hopeful than ever that we can push serious climate legislation to Governor Hogan’s desk.

As the 2016 General Assembly session kicked off, powerful leaders in the legislature stood side-by-side with solar workers and climate activists at our press conference, declaring that 2016 is THE year to pass the Clean Energy Jobs Act. The bill will speed Maryland’s transition to solar and wind power, helping to keep fossil fuels in the ground while investing millions into job training.1

Senator Catherine Pugh, a key champion of the Clean Energy Jobs Act, said yesterday that legislators who are still on the sidelines need to hear from us. "This is important. This is our future!” she said.

Here’s the number one way you can help send this bill to the Governor’s desk: Join us in Annapolis for your regional lobby night!

This year we’re hosting not one, but FIVE lobby nights in Annapolis to ensure legislators hear our voices before every key hearing and vote. Marylanders from different regions of the state will converge on Annapolis in waves to meet with our legislators and let them know that THIS is the year to stand up for wind, solar, and good green jobs.
