Worksession in the Native Plant Garden

Yes, you can garden in the winter -- and avoid mosquitoes, deer ticks, and sunburn! The All-Sensory Garden in the Hilton Area of Patapsco Valley State Park is an ongoing project to clear non-native invasive plants inside the area bounded by the All-Sensory Trail. Native plants will be cultivated in the cleared area as a demonstration project for the public. Volunteers are needed to dig up the invasives and plant the natives -- no experience is necessary.

The next worksession will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from noon to 2:00 pm. Please register online so we have enough tools and plants for everyone, and can tell the Park staff to expect you: volunteers get free admission to the Park. Need more information?
