Dear Electric Vehicle Supporter:Our Future Fleet Campaign is working to get big numbers on social media -will you take just one minute to help us out today?
The Sierra Club and ForestEthics are urging major companies to 1) improve fleet fuel efficiency by investing in electric vehicles, hybrids, and more efficient shipping practices -and 2) to stop using fuel from tar sands (the most dangerous source of petroleum) in their massive vehicle fleets by sourcing from tar sands-free refineries whenever possible (which 19 companies have already committed to do). Our first public campaign, Tastes Like Tar Sands, focuses on Coca-Cola and PepsiCo, which have some of the largest vehicle fleets in the nation.
To increase the visibility of this effort, we are staging a series of visibility stunts on Friday, September 20. Can you (individually and/or as an organization) help amplify these events by promoting the campaign on social media today?
