Governor Janet Mills joined hundreds of young Mainers rallying for climate legislation at the Maine State House on Tuesday April 23, 2019. Mills lead over 400 activists from 5 Maine communities in the chant "There is no planet B."
Sierra Club Activist and executive Committee member Bev Roxby was in the mix. "It was a great day," she said. "Governor Mills mentioned our Climate Action Teams (CATs). Ten students from Belfast Area High School were here, 4 Maine Sierra Club member-activists testified, It was fantastic! I was reminded of the first Earth Day, we need to prepare for the 50th anniversary of April 22 1970's great Teach In," Roxby added.
