Thinking About Replacing Your AC?

Time to replace your AC?

A heat pump is basically a superefficient air conditioner that cools your home in the summer—and then can run in reverse to heat your home through much of the winter.

Since heat pumps use electricity, including clean renewable electricity where available, they are considered much more efficient than methane-burning furnaces.

Heat pumps are an excellent option if you want to kick methane out of your house and reduce your dependency on fossil fuels.

Learn more on Tuesday, June 25, at 6 p.m., at Highland Park Library (494 Laurel Ave.): A panel of three experts will explain how heat pumps work, how they are installed, and how they can lower your energy bills while helping protect our ecosystem. Panelists also will cover federal and local financial incentives to make the switch.
