The transportation sector is the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in Illinois. In fact, transportation is responsible for a whopping one-third of carbon emissions in the state.

Adopting clean vehicle standards is one simple solution to reduce carbon emissions. Such standards would stimulate sales of electric vehicles in Illinois. They also would require new combustion engines to be cleaner.

Sierra Club Illinois and other environmental groups plan to file a petition urging the Illinois Pollution Control Board to adopt clean vehicle standards. We hope to collect at least 500 signatures. Would you take a minute to help?
