The Antioch Village Board will soon vote on development permits for a local community solar farm that would generate enough clean electricity to power over 500 single-family homes.

Unfortunately for clean energy advocates, the Antioch Planning and Zoning Division recently recommended that the Village Board block the solar farm development. Members of the Zoning Division expressed concerns over the proposed array's effect on local wetlands and bird populations.
