When Lake County residents turn on our faucets, we seldom think twice about that sparkling, fresh, safe drinking water. We may know it comes from Lake Michigan—but we probably don’t know how it happens.
To find out firsthand, join the Woods & Wetlands Group on Saturday, May 6, for a tour of the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency pumping station in Lake Bluff. We will discover why we can feel confident about the quality of our drinking water.
Registration is required. Register here for information and permission slips.
Registered participants will meet at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, in the front parking lot of the pumping station at 200 Rockland Road (Route 176), Lake Bluff.
The tour size is limited, so sign up early to ensure your spot.
