National Sierra Club Elections: Vote by April 26

Vote for Sierra Club Board of Directors

National Sierra Club elections are now underway—and your vote will help decide who sits in five of the 15 seats on the Board of Directors.

Voting is easy

Earlier this month, members eligible to vote in this year’s national election received paper ballots by mail or emails with online voting instructions. (If you have been a Sierra Club member since January 31, 2023, you are eligible to vote. If you joined the Sierra Club more recently, you will be eligible to vote next year.)

Ballots must be received by noon Eastern Time on April 26, 2023. If you vote by mail, please drop off your ballot with enough time for it to reach the facility in New York.

If you do not receive your ballot by March 31, please contact Sierra Club’s Member Care team at 415-977-5500 or member.care@sierraclub.org.

For a replacement ballot or assistance with online voting, contact Election Services customer service at 1-866-720-4357 or sierraclub@electionservicescorp.com.

Learn about the candidates

Resources to help you learn about the candidates are available online. You can read bios and statements from each candidate, as well as their answers to important questions selected by a committee. You also can watch short videos recorded by each candidate.

A strong Sierra Club

The Sierra Club is a democratically structured organization. To function well, it requires the regular flow of views on policy and priorities from its grassroots membership. Your participation is critical for a strong Sierra Club.

A minimum of 5% of eligible members must vote for the elections to be valid. However, in a typical year, less than 10% of eligible members vote. That means your vote really does matter.
