My name is Jay Futterman. I am the new leader of the Conservation Committee for the Woods and Wetlands group.
My passion is advocating for solutions to the climate crisis. It’s the biggest of challenges—and it will take all of us doing what we can and more.
People come to the Sierra Club and the Woods & Wetlands Group via many different paths. Whether you are with us because you love to hike, are passionate about our waterways, care about protecting our health against pollution, or want to fight climate change … your help and energy are needed.
My plan for 2023 is to help energize all of our supporters—5,000 strong—into becoming activists. The key is connecting your interests with opportunities. So what are your interests? Please take a moment to tell let us via this survey.
I invite you to join us on Wednesday, February 15, at 7 p.m. for our virtual Woods & Wetlands Conservation Committee Open House. Learn about our different campaigns and ways you can get involved. Hear about our plans for outings in 2023. Meet your local Sierra Club group leaders.
Each of us has a role to play. Please attend our open house to learn how we will accomplish great things ... together.
