Would you like to get more involved with the Piasa Palisades Group? Consider contributing your talents on the Executive Committee! The Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for the upcoming election of our Executive Committee. 

The Executive Committee is a board of nine volunteers who work as a team to keep our group organized. The functions of the Executive Committee include coordinating on environmental issues, shaping policies, and planning events. Conservation, outings, politics, membership, and fundraising are some of the specializations. 

Members of the Executive Committee serve two-year terms. They meet the third Monday of every month from 7-9 p.m. in the Sierra Club office.

The deadline for receipt of names for consideration is October 26, 2015.  

Candidates and voter issues may also reach the ballot via written petition, signed by at least ten group members. The following election-related dates and details are provided for your reference in accordance with group bylaws:

October 26, 2015 - Final day for submission of candidates

October 29 - Nominating Committee reports the nominees

November 12 - Final day for submission of petitions for candidates and ballot issues

November 16 - Election Committee appointed

November 18 - Production of eligible voter list (via HELEN database)

December 3 - Ballots distributed in the December issue of Palisades Views

December 31 - Ballots due

January 11, 2016 - Ballots counted at 5:00 p.m. in the Sierra Club Office
