Last Tuesday morning, October 27th, Blaine County's Commissioners set in motion what could be Idaho's most ambitious clean energy plan for the future. During this difficult time, there are beacons of hope and light, and we are so thankful for the commissioner's vision and leadership.
We've been working closely with the Climate Action Coalition of the Wood River Valley to make this a reality since February. We still have work to do to get cities like Ketchum and Hailey on board, but we expect more progress soon! Stay up-to-date by signing your support.
Blaine County's resolution includes commitments to:
- 100% clean electricity by 2035
- 100% clean energy by 2045
- Formation of a citizen stakeholder group
- Creating a county position to oversee this commitment and other sustainability issues.
