Sierra Club Emerald Coast is just getting started! While there are over a thousand members and even more supporters in NW Florida, we only began getting together for Meetings and Outings in May 2018.

Our Conservation Issues pages are a work in progress! We use them to raise awareness about environmental issues from both a big picture and local perspective. Wherever possible, we share resources for ways you can get involved or learn more.

Sierra Club Florida Chapter works on issues such as: Land Conservation, Mining (Phosphate, Limerock, etc), Fracking, Pipelines, Coastal Development and Water Issues, Sugar Cane Burning, Water Quality (lakes, rivers, streams), Everglades Restoration, Air Quality and Fossil Fuel Disengagement, Sprawl and Development, Transportation and Transit Alternatives,  Solar and Clean Energy Alternatives (Ready for 100%), panther and black bear protection, and many others. Sierra Club counts on member volunteers to be watchdogs in their regions, attend public workshops and hearings and help our missions as much as possible.'

Please let us know the issues that concern you most in NW Florida and if you would like to join our Conservation Committee!

Thank You!
