Margaret Kran-Annexstein, Chapter Director
As the Colorado Chapter Director, I work with staff and volunteers to design and execute the mission of the Sierra Club in Colorado. As an organizer and campaigner, I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and strategize with inspiring and passionate activists that are envisioning a climate-just future. In my free time, I enjoy skiing, campfires, and hiking with my dog.
Garrett Royer, Senior Government Affairs and Political Advocate
As the Senior Government Affairs and Political Advocate for the Sierra Club Colorado Chapter. In this position, I work closely with our volunteer-led Legislative and Political Committees to advance the organization’s climate, wildlife, and equity goals in the state legislature and by electing pro-environmental allies to office. Outside of work, you’ll find me skiing, enjoying Colorado’s many hiking trails, or catching up on the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Alexis Schwartz, Senior Lands, Water, Wildlife Organizer
I’m a Senior Field Organizer at the Colorado Sierra Club; I lead our Public Lands efforts to establish areas of special ecological, cultural, and conservational significance as a national monument, to afford them greater protection from extractive industries. My focus area is campaigning to establish the Dolores Canyons area of southwest Colorado as a national monument. My favorite pastimes include exploring the outdoors, vegetable gardening, and upcycled crafting.
