Welcome to the Sierra Club Roaring Fork Group Blog! As you know, we are all fortunate to live in the Roaring Fork Valley, a beautiful area with mountains, rivers, and public lands. The lifestyle that we live is one to be desired, and people from all over the world move here in hopes of the same. We can’t blame them; it would be selfish to think otherwise. Here in the Valley, population growth, housing demand, education, infrastructure, and traffic are on the forefront of public issues. It is important to remember our environmental and wildlife impacts and to allow our awareness of them to influence our decisions as a society. After all, the wilderness and the animals that inhabit those lands are at the roots of why we all decide to live and grow here.
