Transgender Day of Visibility is a day to celebrate trans and non-binary people—including and especially within our community of Sierra Club staff, volunteers, and members.
Trans rights are human rights.
💗 Trans rights are human rights.
🤍 Trans rights are human rights.
💗 Trans rights are human rights.
Trans rights are human rights.
Transgender Day of Visibility is also a moment to raise awareness about the ongoing and growing violence faced by trans people worldwide.
We are in solidarity with our trans community members in Sierra Club and beyond, especially with the steep rise in anti-trans legislation across the country. We must rise up against attacks on trans and queer folks.
Please support The Trans Empowerment Project. You can also read more about attacks on trans rights via Vox and from Riley Black's article, "Riley Black Reflects on the Power of Growth".
