Cyclists Show Their Support for the Sierra Club

On October 26th and 27th, pro-cyclist and Sierra Club supporter Phil Gaimon hosted over 1,100 cyclists at Phil’s Cookie Fondo in the Santa Monica Mountains. Angeles Chapter volunteers showed up with amazing energy and great representation for the Sierra Club, inspiring nearly $12,000 in donations to the chapter. Thanks to our amazing volunteers: Elizabeth Neat, Marie and Avid Nimo, Ann Mohrbacher, Joe Phillips, Doerthe Prestel, David Tewksbery, Liz Sheketoff and Brad Highland (and sweet baby Parker!) for helping out at the event.  Huge thanks to Phil Gaimon for supporting our work and for using his voice to give cyclists a reason to safeguard the places they ride and the air they breathe. Be sure to check out Phil’s YouTube channel at @worstretirementever (he’s got a couple of videos featuring the Angeles Chapter!)  Next up for cyclists and volunteers: Phil’s Whiskey Tango Fondo, a wild gravel event in the eastern Sierra. Come camp with us in April - we’ll be in Lone Pine supporting the event and raising more money for the Angeles Chapter.
