Elections bring about uncertainty. We don’t know if environmental regulations will be protected or dissolved. We’re wondering if our protected lands will expand or become vulnerable to exploitation. Are the agencies and programs that conserve the environment going to be strengthened or at risk of being defunded? Are campaign promises - or threats - hyperbole or truth?
Regardless of election outcomes - no matter how promising nor how dire - the Sierra Club is positioned to effectively continue to fight for the environment.
The Angeles Chapter has been a trusted community of conservation activists, adventurers, and change-makers for over 113 years. We hold a long and trusted history of powerful local conservation work, a commitment that remains unshakeable even in the face of uncertainty. Our mission is strong, and the Angeles Chapter continues to harness the power of community in a way that focuses our energy on sustainable solutions for a more just and healthy planet.
As we approach the end of the year, our focus is on land conservation - specifically expanding and protecting wild spaces while also creating greater, more equitable access to nature.
We need to raise $20,000 by the end of the year. This is a collective effort - every dollar helps us reach this goal.

- Secure a commitment from the federal government to create the Northern Angeles Forest National Monument.
- Increase access to nature and invest in improvements like Forest Service staff, multilingual signage, add more trash cans in places like the Northern Angeles National Forest and East Fork River in the San Gabriel Valley.
- Give more people access to the outdoors by advocating that local agencies prioritize transit-to-trails routes.
