A Letter from the New Conservation Co-Chairs

Wendy-Sue Rosen and Cynthia “Robin” Smith are excited to be the new co-chairs of the Angeles Chapter Conservation Committee.

Wendy is an award-winning environmental activist and brings a wealth of knowledge to her roles on Sierra Club California ExCom, West LA Regional Group ExCom, and Angeles Chapter Committees including Wildland Urban Wildfire Committee, Santa Monica Mountains Task Force, Transportation Committee, Environmental and Social Justice Committee along with her expertise on the Sierra Club Political Committee.

Robin serves as chair of the Diamond Bar - Pomona Valley Task Force focused on local biodiversity, natural climate solutions, land use conservation, California wildlife habitats, and native landscapes.  She is a professional ecosystem gardener, native plant consultant, teacher, and member of the California Native Plant Society.
 
Wendy and Robin’s Sierra Club goals include expanding conservation knowledge, fostering mentorship and proactive conservation activism, uplifting collaboration, and interpersonal relationships within the Conservation Committee, supporting the work of Angeles Chapter entity leaders, and providing resources to accomplish these goals.
 
Wendy and Robin invite Angeles Chapter members to be a part of the Conservation Committee, meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 7-9 p.m.
