Join the new Livable Cities Campaign!

To achieve our goal of promoting clean air, clean water and healthy people, the Angeles Chapter is starting a Livable Cities campaign. Please join us for the kickoff meeting March 27 from 7:30-9:00pm at the Angeles Chapter office, 3250 Wilshire Blvd. #1106 in Los Angeles. We look forward to your input as we establish a vision and set goals for the year. Calendar sale

The Chapter has a limited supply of 2006 wilderness wall and desk engagement calendars, now 30 percent off. They may be purchased from the Angeles Chapter office during regular business hours or by using the online order form.

Editor wanted

The Angeles Chapter is looking for a newsletter editor for its monthly newsletter, the Southern Sierran (circulation 50,000). The position is part-time (20-30 hrs per week) with benefits. Salary is $15-$20 per hour, depending on qualifications. The requirements include a B.A. in journalism or two or more years experience writing and editing for publication, knowledge of layout and design process for producing newsletters (including proficiency in Quark or InDesign), excellent writing and editing skills, knowledge of conservation and environmental topics and issues.
