Senior Chapter Director wanted
The Senior Chapter Director is the top staff management position in the Angeles Chapter. As such, is responsible for advising the Executive Committee and directing the staff in implementing all programs of the Angeles Chapter. Position reports directly to the Executive Committee through the Chapter Chair. Deferred giving and major gift fundraising are top priorities for this position. The Senior Chapter Director is responsible for managing all Chapter staff.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to preserving the environment, at least five years of substantial management experience in grassroots campaign organizing, media relations, and working with political leaders, as well as substantial experience in planning and managing deferred giving programs and major gift solicitation. A B.A./B.S. degree is required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with volunteers, excellent oral and written skills, outstanding computer skills, and a proven record of successful staff leadership are essential.

Salary: $65,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience, with comprehensive benefits package. The Angeles Chapter office is located in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. ExComm meets
The Angeles Chapter Executive Committee will meet Sunday, Oct. 23, 1pm, in the Chapter office conference room.

Schedule No. 300
The November issue of the Angeles Chapter Schedule of Activities was mailed via bulk mail at the end of September. GIS Committee forming
The new Geographic Information Systems Committee will provide computer-based mapping and spatial-analysis services for conservation and outings entities in the Chapter. The committee will make use of the ESRI ArcGIS software that the Chapter recently obtained in a grant from the software manufacturer. The committee is seeking members who can volunteer a few hours per quarter. Familiarity with GIS software is helpful, but the committee can train new members who have facility with Windows computers and knowledge of general mapping concepts.
