Political Action

The Sierra Club Central Ohio Group Political Committee works to find and boost environmental champions in political offices on the local and state levels through our political endorsements. During each election season, we identify the most important and influenceable elections in Central Ohio, research the candidates, submit questionnaires and conduct interviews, and make endorsements. The ultimate goal is to build a relationship with elected officials in which our voice counts.

Legislative Issues

We evaluate local, city, and county legislative issues, proposed bills, and existing laws impacting the environment and health of Central Ohio. As part of the process we comment, testify, lobby and take action as needed.
