A Global Climate Strike has been called for on September 20. Young people across the world are calling on adults to join them in a day of action. “It's been years of talking, countless negotiations, empty deals on climate change and fossil fuel companies being given free rides to drill beneath our soils and burn away our futures for their profit.” (Greta Thunberg)

Join in to demonstrate how urgent the climate crisis is and the time to act is NOW. The youth-led climate strike covers much of the day and much of the state! In the Four Lakes group region, Madison and Janesville (https://www.facebook.com/events/2352159748370729/) events are listed. Planned Madison activities include:

• Noon - gathering at the State Street corner of the Capitol;
• 1 p.m. - rally/block party outside MG&E urging them to go to 100% clean energy by 2030;
• 3:30 p.m. - rally at the Capitol on the State Street steps.
