Show your Sierra Club pride and by helping reduce waste or by engaging with people at our Sierra Club table. You might even have fun!
Orton Park Festival, August 24 - 26
Join us for this friendly neighborhood festival under the canopy of oaks that features two nights of Cycropia, fine music including the Clyde Stubblefield All-Stars, an auction, the famous Sunday Jazz Brunch, and of course, delicious food and quaffable beverages. In return for managing all the trash and recycling, volunteers get free soda and pizza. We’ll also have a table right in the center of things to talk with a receptive audience. Laborfest, September 3, Labor Temple, 1602 S Park St
This is Madison's annual progressive celebration of labor and unions where you’ll likely find your favorite local legislators hanging out. This is our first year of helping with the recycling, and it’s another way we participate and show our support for worker rights. This event also features fine music, a friendly atmosphere, and new food choices this year. Sign up for recycling or tabling at http://signup.com/go/MoQHvba.
Willy St Fair, September 15 - 16
The epitome of neighborhood festivals, this weekend-long event on Williamson St marks the official end of summer for Madisonians. Fortunately, the Willy St Fair takes it out in style, with a packed two-block long event of vendors, music, food and fun on Saturday, and three blocks on Sunday. The always eclectic Sunday Parade this year will feature a group of Sierra Club Beyond Coal activists and street theater. Help out with the recycling - or our booth can be the perfect place to hang out and talk with friendly Fairgoers. Sign up for recycling or tabling at http://signup.com/go/MoQHvba.
