What is the Sierra Club?
The Sierra Club is an international environmental group based in San Francisco. The Club is America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet.
What is the Chippewa Valley Group?
The Chippewa Valley Group is your local branch of the Sierra Club. We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to environmental education and conservation. We are one of eight Groups in the Wisconsin Chapter. We cover the West Central region of Wisconsin, including Eau Claire. Click here for a map of our coverage area, and here to see a full list of our volunteer leaders. We invite you to contact our Chair Caryn Treiber with questions at 715-684-9374 or via email.
What does the Chippewa Valley Group do?
Visit our Conservation page to learn about our environmental campaigns. However, the Sierra Club, as a whole, is well aware of the dangers of "all work and no play" so we are very active in group activities such as hikes, biking events, camping trips, water sports, group meetings and potlucks. See the Activities & Events Calendar to see what fun we have!! And be sure to join us for our monthly Meetings so we can "meet" you!
