Sewage on Tap? The Risk Of Sewage Wastewater Reuse
Tuesday December 12, 2PM on Zoom, RSVP Required
Presented by the Sierra Club Wastewater Residuals Grassroots Network Team
As the US drinking water supply is coming under increasing threats from things like contamination, drought and salt water encroachment, to name a few, some are looking at the potential to clean up and reuse wastewater, even for drinking water. In this webinar, panelists from Food and Water Watch, Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy and Sierra Club Tampa Bay will discuss this emerging trend of direct potable reuse of sewage wastewater, the current state of the industry and the health and environmental impacts, especially from the "forever chemicals" and known carcinogens, PFASs. We'll also explore a path to reduce PFAS pollution from wastewater streams. Click here to register for the webinar:
