March Program Topic:
Lawn Care Goes Electric: Why it's time to switch to a new generation of clean, quiet electric lawn equipment.

On March 14, our speaker will be Luke Metzger, Executive Director of Environment Texas. Recently, Environment Texas released a report about the air quality and climate benefits of transitioning to electric lawn equipment.

Gasoline-powered lawn and garden equipment (lawn mowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, snow blowers and other machines) is noisy, polluting and putting our health at risk. Electric lawn equipment is cleaner, quieter, and, over a lifetime of use, often cheaper, than gasoline-powered machines. Luke will discuss the transition to electric, the climate and health benefits, and how we can speed it along.
