Juvenile Brown Pelicans Going Wild!

On February 4, 2023, three juvenile brown pelicans were released into the wild at Seabrook, TX.

During winter freezing temperatures, young brown pelicans can get frostbite on their pouches and feet, and are susceptible for a variety of illnesses when they are so stressed.

These three juvenile brown pelicans were rescued in the freezing temperatures last December, rehabilitated at the Wildlife Center of Texas, recovered, and were released.
