Restoration at Sheldon Lake State Park & Habitat Conservation on the Bayou Greenways.
 
On May 12, Marissa Llosa, Conservation Manager for the Houston Parks Board will present "From sedges to oaks: a look back at wetland restoration at Sheldon Lake State Park and a look forward to habitat conservation on the Bayou Greenways". The talk will review the wetland restoration process and 10 years of monitoring data collected at Sheldon Lake State Park and its implications in plant community dynamics. Then move to an overview of the larger conservation effort along the Bayou Greenways.
