Election time is nearing for Houston Sierra Club (HSC) members! In December, annual elections for our Executive Committee (ExCom) occur. The ExCom is the governing body for the HSC, sets conservation and other policy for our Group, operates and maintains the HSC, and consists of 9 members, who serve staggered, two-year terms.

A Nominating Committee of Frank Blake, Melanie Oldham, and Devika Taneja found five willing HSC members in good standing to run as candidates! The candidates are Arjumand Mubaarak, Sandy Anderson, Linda Mundwiller, Lorraine Gibson, and Rahul Naik.

The five candidates are all current HSC volunteers. Arjumand Mubaarak is the ExCom Chair; Sandy Anderson is active in the Bay Area Sierra Club; Linda Mundwiller is the Group Delegate to the Chapter; Lorraine Gibson is the Group Treasurer; and Rahul Naik is the Climate Justice Chair.

Members, please look for a notification from the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club in early December 2021, so that you can vote for the HSC ExCom.
