Election time is nearing for Houston Sierra Club (HSC) members! In December, annual elections for our Executive Committee (ExCom) occur. The ExCom is the governing body for the HSC, sets conservation and other policy for our Group, operates and maintains the HSC, and consists of 9 members, who serve staggered, two-year terms.

A Nominating Committee of Frank Blake, Jennie Rohrer, and Michael Honel found four willing HSC members in good standing to run as candidates! The candidates are Alexandra Boyce, Melanie Oldham, Devika Taneja, and Carol Woronow.

The four candidates are all top notch and current HSC volunteers. Alexandra Boyce is the Volunteer Coordinator; Melanie Oldham is the past Group Air Quality Chair and former Group Delegate to the Lone Star Chapter; Devika Taneja is the Membership Chair; and Carol Woronow is the Bayou Banner newsletter editor and interim webmaster.

Please look for a notification from the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club in early December 2020, so that you can vote for the HSC ExCom.
