Arlene Diehl, a former Houston Sierra Club Chair and volunteer leader, is recovering from health-related issues this holiday season. Arlene was Houston Sierra Club Chair in the 2000’s and has been a quiet but strong supporter of the Club for over 20 years.
Arlene is one of the “unsung heroines” of the Houston Sierra Club. She has made a significant mark for our Club in fundraising, administration, and conservation efforts.
A recipient of the Houston Sierra Club’s highest honor, “The Brom Wilkin Award”, Arlene has exemplified the best in Club character by leading by example and not for personal glory. She is one of the most selfless volunteers the Houston Sierra Club has had and deserves our support and praise for her long-time volunteer efforts.
We wish Arlene a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her soon on outings and trails in 2020.
