Election time is nearing for Houston Sierra Club (HSC) members!    In December, yearly elections for our Executive Committee (ExCom) will occur.  The ExCom is the governing body for the HSC, sets conservation and other policy for our Group, operates and maintains the HSC, and consists of 9 members, who serve staggered, two-year terms.  

A Nominating Committee of Carol Woronow, Jennie Rohrer, and Brandt Mannchen found five willing HSC members in good standing to run as candidates!  The candidates are Arjumand Mubaarak, Kristen Schlemmer, Heather Lander, Alex Paul, and Linda Mundwiller.

The five candidates are all top notch and current HSC volunteers.  Linda Mundwiller serves as the HSC’s Welcome/Sign-in Table Chair; Kristen Schlemmer serves on the HSC’s ExCom as Secretary; Alex Paul serves as the HSCs Publicity Chair; Arjumand Mubaarak serves on the HSC’s ExCom and is the Political Committee Chair; and Heather Lander serves as the HSC’s Facebook Administrator.

Please look for a notification from the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club about December 1, 2019, so that you can vote for the HSC ExCom.  Do your democratic duty and vote well!!!
