Recently, we heard that Former Houston Sierra Club Chair, Tom Ivy, is under the weather and not able to attend Houston Sierra Club meetings. We wish Tom a speedy recovery and hope we will see him soon.
Tom has filled many positions for the Houston Sierra Club over the years. Most recently, he has served as the Houston Sierra Club’s representative on the Houston-Galveston Area Council’s, Bacteria Implementation Group (BIG), which meets several times a year to discuss bacteria pollution in Houston Area streams, rivers, lakes, and bays and how to reduce this potential human health hazard.
Due to Tom’s incapacitation, the Houston Sierra Club has nominated Tom Douglas to replace Tom Ivy on the BIG and Jim Williams to be his alternate. The BIG will make a decision about this nomination in the coming months.
Get well Tom!!!
