Bay Area Sierra Club Meeting: Mark Kramer of Armand Bayou Nature Center

Bay Area meetings are on 3rd Wednesday of the month, and start at 6:30pm for social hour; speaker and discussion from 7-8:30 pm.

September Meeting Program:

Mark Kramer, Chief Naturalist and Conservation Director with the Armand Bayou Nature Center, will speak on 'Local Environmental Problems', such as habitat loss, pollution and invasive species.

Mark is a native of Pasadena Texas who serves as Stewardship Coordinator. His job includes managing the natural and cultural resources of the nature center. Mark was honored with the 2015 Terry Hershey Bayou Stewardship Award for his life-long service in conservation, preservation, restoration and advocacy of Houston's waterways.

Directions: Driving east on NASA Parkway, go past the stop light immediately beyond the Hilton at Space Center Blvd. At the next stop light, turn left away from the lake into the park. It's the building with the blue roof.
