A REPORT ON THE JUNE BAY AREA PROGRAM:
On a stormy Wednesday night in June, 25 Bay Area Sierrans braved the ominous weather to hear Dr. Brandon Reddell describe the conditions for a planetary habitable zone.  These include liquid water, UV, photosynthetic, ozone, rotation, obliquity, tidal,  astrosphere, electric field,  space weather, and quantity of water.    All of these conditions must to be present at the same time.  Also, depending on a stars' size, some planets are excluded. For example, the flares from stars smaller than the sun would kill any living creatures on its planets.
