Recycling during the Post Harvey Recovery -

Curbside Recycling to Resume in Houston!

The City of Houston has announced the resumption of curbside recycling collection starting Monday, November 13, 2017.  The resumption of service is as follows:

"B Week" collection will begin the week of Monday, November 13, 2017.

"A Week" collection will begin the week of Monday, November 20, 2017

Further details can be found in the City's press release:

Note: Junk Waste and Yard Waste services remain suspended until further notice.  Those crews continue to work on Hurricane Harvey debris removal.

IN THE MEANTIME, your curbside recycling items can be dropped off at the Neighborhood Depositories/Recycling Centers and the Neighborhood Recycling Centers (two separate categories).  All together there are 10 of these.  Drop off hours have also been extended for these facilities.  Note: many of these depositories require items to be separated (plastic, metal, paper, glass, etc.) No proof of residency required for recycling.

Here is the link to City website for info on specific recycling drop off locations:

There are also the 'glass only drop offs'.  These only have bins for glass, not other recyclables.
For some reason these are not listed at the main recycling webpage, but on a separate webpage:
