Michael Levy is a freelance journalist and the editor-at-large for Climbing and Ascent magazines. He is also an editor at the American Alpine Journal and an editor of Alpina, the mountaineering section of Appalachia, America's longest-running journal of mountaineering and conservation. He was formerly a senior editor at Rock and Ice, Climbing, Ascent, and Gym Climber magazines. He has climbed all over the world, from the big walls of Yosemite to the limestone cliffs of Southeast Asia; from the the peaks in the Alaska Range to those in the Cordillera Blanca.
