About Santa Lucia Chapter Conservation Committee
Conservation Committee actively supports Sierra Club national, regional, state, and local policy and programs. Committee members bring their expertise and experience to discussions of how to get the best environmental outcome for projects and issues.
Committee conservation policy recommendations are then considered by the Executive Committee for adoption. Committee members engage in grassroots outreach on issues at all levels including service on local and state committees for different issues, advocacy by giving public comment at public meetings, contact legislators, and setting up information tables at local events.
