Backpacking and Canoeing in Alaska
The monthly meeting of the Los Serranos Group of the Sierra Club is Tuesday, November 20, at 7:00 PM. Brian Elliott will be doing a PowerPoint presentation on his backpack and canoe trip this past August in Alaska. The meeting will be held in the Etiwanda Room at The Goldy S. Los Serranos member and group chair, Brian Elliott, will give a presentation on his backpack and canoe trip this past August in the largest national park in the United States, Wrangell-St Elias National Park and Preserve. Brian and two friends completed a seven day backpack trip involving several mile wide glacier crossings on the difficult Seven Passes route. Three additional friends joined the group after the backpack for a 13 day river trip on the Chitna and Copper Rivers.
