Climate scientist Carl Mears will describe the implications of the recent 3 studies on the climate crisis (IPCC, 4th National Assessment, Global Climate Project report), will address the question, “Is it too late?” and will answer questions. Center for Climate Protection board member Carl Mears is a senior scientist with Remote Sensing Systems, Santa Rosa, where he specializes in satellite-measured temperature data. Carl has served as a contributing author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the world’s foremost authority on global warming science. He is a member of two international working groups, the Global Climate Observing System Working Group on Atmospheric Reference Observations, and the WCRP Stratospheric Trends Working Group.
